Company Profile
Decision Systems Plus, Inc. ("DSPI") was founded in 1985. DSPI provides voice (telephone),
data (computer), and converged (merging of telephony and computers) related solutions
which are based on integrated, open systems that work with a variety of organizational
and technology environments and structures. We are specialists in technology infrastructure
support, including the desktop, the computer room, the telephone room, local and
wide area network, and the telephone lines to connect an enterprise to the rest
of the world for voice and data.
We're privileged to have been called upon to be on the advisory boards for many
manufacturers including:
- Hewlett Packard
- Progess
- Acer
- Polycom
- Sutus
Two international organizations of the best service providers have chosen us to
be long-term members:

- TAG: Technology Assurance Group
Our staff has taught technology related courses for IBM, schools and the Illinois
CPA Society, regularly does national speaking engagements in front of both dealers
and end-users, and has been the technology expert for a major business magazine,
writing a monthly article.

The mission of DSPI is to help our clients effectively operate and manage their
businesses using information system technology on a long-term basis to:

In order to achieve this mission, we develop a deep understanding of our clients'
business, their goals and problems, the technologies we have selected to apply,
and their communication and information management needs.
Company Philosophy
Some key DSPI philosophies, as they relate to clients, are as follows:
- DSPI systems are "open" and therefore, the client is always free to replace DSPI
with another support organization, whether in-house or a third party. We believe
we must continue to earn the privilege to serve every client.
- We focus on long-term relationships, since systems and software should never be
stagnant, but must continue to evolve with the client organization. Technology,
organizational needs and industry requirements constantly change. Our solutions
must be flexible to meet new demands.
- We believe our most meaningful work does not end when the sale is made. It begins
when the system is delivered, and continues throughout the life of the client relationship.
Support is our most important business and our main focus.
- We look to be both a strategic as well as a tactical partner for our clients, helping
them to solve problems and take advantage of opportunities both today and tomorrow.
We bring processes and technologies to our clients, enabling them to leverage their
investment in technology. This allows our clients to be more profitable and productive
on an on-going basis.
Products and Services
Equipment and Software
We work with and provide support for selected manufacturers. We assist our clients
in selecting the architecture, software and equipment which will provide the best
solution for them - not merely what we sell or have in stock. We continually evaluate
our clients' requirements and products that become available so that we can help
a client select and implement options that offer them the ideal mix of budget and
functionality that the client values. Products include telephone systems, servers,
routers, security items such as firewalls and VPN, software to merge computers and
telephones, cabling, audio-visual and much more. We offer premise-based as well
as hosted solutions.
Integration Services
Today's environment often mandates integration of mixed software, operating systems,
hardware and vendors. We are comfortable with and have years of experience in providing
such integration. In our own office we have a complex mixed environment, which includes
integration of multiple operating systems, servers, software, and many computer-telephony
integration applications. We provide conversion and integration services to fit
the client's needs.
System Support
DSPI provides "hotline", remote access & monitoring, and on-site support for
operations, technical issues, system integration, networking, and a full range of
telephone and computer-related services. We maintain a support staff and use a call
tracking system to insure quick response. We also offer a fully managed as well
as out-sourced support option.
Market Position
Through the products and people of DSPI, we can effectively serve organizations
of very different sizes. Clients that depend on DSPI for services and products range
in size from small business to Fortune 1000 companies, as well as non-profit, government
and institutional organizations.
Many of our clients have internal information technology staff, for whom we provide
additional or extended resources, back-up support and project-related resources.
In addition, we are accustomed to working with other VARS or consulting firms who
provide services or products already for a client.

For over 22 years, in our own company and in our clients' companies, our focus is
on the people - not just on the computer and telephone. Our business is to help
people perform their jobs more easily, more efficiently, more profitably, and more
